<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3">As Head of Procurement Strategy, you will have a unique impact at Airbase by directly influencing the vision and success of our Guided Procurement offering. The primary goal of this role is to help evangelize Airbase and build awareness in the procurement community. This is an externally facing role and reports to our CRO. While you will have the opportunity to influence the procurement process at Airbase, that is not the primary focus of the role. You will spend most of your time contributing to our marketing and sales efforts.</p>

<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Actively pursue opportunities externally that represent Airbase in the Procurement community; speaking events, engaging with analysts, etc. This will likely require 20-30% travel.</span></li>

<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Collaborate with our finance and accounting teams to streamline and improve our internal procurement processes.</span></li>

<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">7+ years experience in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing. We believe that a practitioner who has been in procurement roles will be successful in this role.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Demonstrated experience of active participation in the procurement community, like speaking engagements.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Experience developing and implementing procurement processes at a high-growth technology company.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Experience driving results through the negotiation process such as contract negotiation and supplier performance.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Experience leading and executing decisions across an organization.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Knowledge of the modern (post-2018) procurement software and technology landscape.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Project management, and basic financial analysis skills.</span></li>
