Senior Software Developer – Platform team
Location: Remote, in Canada

The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a talented Senior Software Developer to join our Platform team. The platform team is undertaking an exciting “modernization” initiative within Copperleaf, where we are evolving a large, complex codebase toward a cloud-first containerized architecture in AWS. We are not only looking for an excellent backend developer, but also someone who excels in collaborating and mentoring their fellow teammates in the technologies that allow us to evolve the platform to new heights.
Responsibilities:

Contribute to the design and planning of features.
</li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2">
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code.
</li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2">
Excels in working across the technology stack, with a particular focus on backend skillsets in .NET, databases, Docker, and/or cloud-based infrastructure as code tools.
</li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2">
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to talent teammates.
</li>
</ul>
Your background:
Ideally, you have the following experience, but we also recognize that talent comes in many forms, so we’re looking for passion, enthusiasm, and transferrable skills:

Proficient in C# and .NET.
</li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2">
Experience with building RESTful web applications.
</li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2">
Familiar with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other relational database.
</li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2">
Experience working in cloud-based architectures and working with infrastructure-as-code tools.
</li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2">
Even with your backend focus, you are not afraid to jump into other areas of the technology stack like front-end or pipelines when needed. (Even if they are not your core area of expertise.)

Compensation:
The typical hiring range for this position is from $120,000 CAD to $160,000 CAD annually. The salary offered is based on market location and may vary depending on skills, experience, and internal equity.
