<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3">The Data community at Luno, comprising Data Engineers, Scientists, and Analysts, uncovers valuable insights from the vast amounts of data we gather from our customers and platform. These insights are crucial for guiding our product development and business strategy.</p>
<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3">As a Senior Analytics Data Engineer at Luno, you would be part of the Business Insights Team. Our focus is to provide the business with trusted, timely and accurate data for reporting and business insights. Our current technology stack includes Databricks and Looker.</p>

<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3">Our end goal as a team is to enable the business to drive data informed decisions across all facets of the business. Your role will involve designing, building, and maintaining our analytical warehouse to facilitate trusted product and enterprise reporting solutions, self-service and deliver compelling stories through dashboarding.</p>

<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3">An analytics engineer acts as a link between data engineers and data analysts/scientists.</p>
<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3">Responsibilities will include:</p>

<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Determine the data needed to address the business needs and formulate the business requirements into analytical objectives</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Design data models using the principles of Dimensional data modelling</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Build the analytical warehouse with the appropriate dims and facts tables</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Ensure that all data pipelines are automated and scalable</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Develop and maintain the high standards and best practices including but not limited to data governance, code reviews, release management, version control etc</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Ensure that our data catalogue, business glossary and other relevant documentation is updated regularly, allowing for improved self-service capabilities and trust in our data and reporting.</span></li>

<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Proven experience as an Analytical Data Engineer, Data Engineer or similar role, minimum 3 years.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Experience working with Databricks</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Exploratory data analysis and/or optimisation skills</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Strong interpersonal and communication skills</span></li>
