<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3"><strong class=" font-semibold">KBRA</strong> (KBRA Holdings) is seeking a dynamic and experienced <strong class=" font-semibold">Platform Engineer</strong> &#8211; <strong class=" font-semibold">Associate Director</strong> to lead our <strong class=" font-semibold">Platform team</strong> in building and maintaining robust, scalable, and innovative platforms that power our products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, leadership experience, and a passion for driving technical excellence and innovation.</p>
<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3"><strong class=" font-semibold">Job Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul class=" text-base sm:text-lg marker:text-color list-inside list-disc text-gray-500 list-disc list-outside pl-3 mb-6">
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Leadership: Provide strong technical leadership and mentorship to a team of five (5) platform engineers. Set clear goals and objectives and empower the team to achieve them.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Platform Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for platform engineering initiatives, aligning with business goals/objectives and our philosophy of automating everything and provisioning Infrastructure as Code. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in platform architecture and technologies.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Engineering Leadership, Infrastructure teams, and the engineering teams themselves to ensure alignment and integration of platform initiatives with overall product and technical strategies.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Team Development: Recruit, onboard, and develop top engineering talent. Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and professional growth within the platform engineering team.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Operational Excellence: Ensure the operational stability, resiliency, performance, and security of platform systems. Establish and monitor key metrics to drive continuous improvement in system reliability and performance. Be a champion for our beliefs in automation and Infrastructure as Code.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage third-party vendors and technology partners as needed to support platform engineering initiatives.</span></li>

<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3"><strong class=" font-semibold">Successful candidates will possess the following:</strong></p>
<ul class=" text-base sm:text-lg marker:text-color list-inside list-disc text-gray-500 list-disc list-outside pl-3 mb-6">
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Ten (10) or more years of experience in software engineering, ideally with a recent focus on platform development and architecture.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Three (3) or more years of experience in a leadership or management role, leading teams of engineers.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Strong understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed systems architecture.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Proficiency in modern software development practices and tools (e.g., Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code).</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical systems and technical strategy to the wider engineering department.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Experience in the development of highly available, fault-tolerant systems.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.</span></li>

<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3">The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $230,000 to $260,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.</p>
