<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3">Due to an ever increasing number of products, we need an additional Localization Engineer. Working closely with our Development and Content teams, you will coordinate the localization of our software and content in 8 languages (French, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese Brazil, Spanish LatAm, Italian, Dutch, Japanese &amp; Chinese Simplified). This is an autonomous intermediate role that takes on preparation of localization toolkits, post-processing of translated files and other localization deliverables with little or no supervision. The Localization Engineer will often work with senior and junior members of the team across all phases of assigned translation projects.</p>
<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3"><strong class=" font-semibold">Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul class=" text-base sm:text-lg marker:text-color list-inside list-disc text-gray-500 list-disc list-outside pl-3 mb-6">
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Analysis of document, software, e-learning, and website localization kits including all source files for quotation.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Preparation of localization toolkits from a variety of sources for translation (.properties, .rc, .idml, .yml, .json, .xliff, .docx, .xlsx, .indd and more), which include all the files and instructions for translation. Product analysis, file format conversion, batching. Post-processing of translated files.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Perform post-delivery proofing, linguistic quality assurance reviews and tests.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Automation &amp; systems integration between applications and translation systems.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Maintain existing and write new localization windows batch scripts</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Collaborate with Localization Manager, Channel Partners, translation vendors, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Participate in trainings, webinars and demos of different technologies/applications related to localization and internationalization.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Create effective presentations and material to provide training and learning resources for others.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Coordinate translation work with translation vendors using XTM Cloud.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Test new applications/websites to check for localization issues.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Prepare test environments (hardware, software).</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Enter defect reports and work with localization analysts and developers to reproduce and troubleshoot problems.</span></li>

<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Strong researching skills in order to analyze a question or problem and reach a solution.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Strong verbal and written communication skills.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Professional working proficiency in English and another language (French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Mandarin Chinese or Japanese). Curious to learn others.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Skilled in a variety of publishing and editing software (MadCap Flare, MadCap Lingo, Rise360, Camtasia, Vidyard, InDesign, FinalCut, Photoshop, Office Suite etc.).</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Able to read code and find defects in implementation without using the software’s GUI.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Able to use GitHub to get and commit files from different repositories and troubleshot issues.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Advanced knowledge and ability using multiple editors, localization tools, open source alternatives etc.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Experience in the localization field.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Experience in automation for localization.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Experience using CAT tools.</span></li>
</ul>
