Our deep learning engine automates the translation of patient records into the billing codes used for healthcare provider reimbursement, a process today that costs hospitals in the US $15B+ annually and tens of billions more in errors and denied claims. <p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3">Fathom is hiring for a <strong class=" font-semibold">Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure)</strong> based in North America to join our expanding remote team. This opportunity is worth exploring if you are someone who is passionate about intelligent automation and you get excited about being the 10X multiplier on your team. To that end, we are looking for experienced candidates who are comfortable operating with autonomy. We need you to utilize your combination of strong software engineering experience and cloud service mastery savvy to design, deploy, and monitor all operational aspects of our platform.</p>

<h3 class=" text-white font-semibold text-lg mb-2">Your role and responsibilities will include:</h3>

<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Working to ensure the stability, security, and performance of Fathom’s platform</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Developing dependable internal tools that aid our machine learning and software engineers more efficient, in everything from infrastructure deployment, to continuous integration and testing</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Maintaining and configuring internal development and access control systems</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Collaborating with our product and engineering teams to identify strategic long-term projects and preempt infrastructure needs in advance</span></li>

<h3 class=" text-white font-semibold text-lg mb-2"><strong class=" font-semibold">We are looking for a teammate with:</strong></h3>
<ul class=" text-base sm:text-lg marker:text-color list-inside list-disc text-gray-500 list-disc list-outside pl-3 mb-6">
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">5+ years of software engineering experience in a company/production setting</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Knowledge of algorithms, data structures and systems design</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Experience with building, controlling, and monitoring secure cloud-based platforms</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">An ability to define, defend, and drive technical infrastructure decisions and initiatives</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Basic operational familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ability to help pick and implement the right tool for a given job</span></li>
</ul>
