Fast forward to today, Steer has launched a complete Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketing suite, complete with text messaging, email automation, direct mail integration, reputation management, appointment reminders, declined/recommended services, and many other features. <p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3"><strong class=" font-semibold">About the role</strong>Steer is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with extensive production Kubernetes experience to join our Platform Engineering Team responsible for designing and implementing our infrastructure in Kubernetes, improving our monitoring and alerting, working with application engineers to find and implement the right solutions, and ensuring uptime, resilience and scalability in response to surging product usage.</p>

<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Manage and deploy cloud-based environments for all stages of application development and testing</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Build deployment tooling to allow our application developers greater autonomy and self service</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Find and mitigate application, cloud and network vulnerabilities and bottlenecks. Not only suggest improvements, but champion investment in those improvements</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Develop and deploy CI/CD automation infrastructure using Github Actions, Flux</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Ensure appropriate application and infrastructure logging and monitoring to maintain highest possible uptime</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Monitor system components and application processing to proactively identify incidents, resolve issues, and lead incident support / root cause analysis</span></li>

<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">8+ years Platform Engineering/DevOps/System administration</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">4+ years extensive, demonstrable, every day Kubernetes experience: designing, deploying and operating complex production environments using advanced cloud native tools</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">5+ years public cloud experience: AWS (preferred), GCP, Azure</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">4+ years extensive Terraform experience, including managing large infrastructures, writing modules, refactoring manifests, Terragrunt or similar</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">3+ years programming experience in a modern programming language: Go (preferred), Python, plus shell scripting proficiency</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Worked with mission-critical, 24/7 production environments</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Experience securing infrastructure for internet-facing applications</span></li>
