<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3">Our finance team is growing and we’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with a focus on Capital, Impairment and how this impacts strategy and commercial performance. This will involve understanding our prudential regulatory rules, detailed financial analysis, and collaborating with teams across the bank. Decisions around the allocation of capital are central to Monzo achieving its strategy and building enterprise value. As such this is an exciting and broad role for an individual looking to build their experience and influence the direction of a unique business going through significant growth.</p>
<p class=" text-gray-200 text-base sm:text-lg leading-relaxed mb-3">You will need to have great financial analysis skills, combined with the ability to understand and interpret regulation. Ideally you’d already have knowledge and experience across finance and prudential regulation as well as an understanding of IFRS 9 impairment.</p>

<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Provide in-depth analytical support across a wide range of strategic capital planning projects.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Developing and embedding financial analysis tools to support stakeholders’ investment decisions.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Partnering with teams internally to help them make informed business decisions.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Production of key financial risk management information, supporting stakeholders’ understanding of Monzo’s capital risks, strengths, and opportunities.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Designing brilliant ways to automate our work and leveraging technology to ensure we scale with the business.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Provide insight into monthly impairment numbers working with teams across Monzo to explain the portfolio dynamics.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Assist the team in the planning and production of Monzo’s ICAAP, Recovery Plan, and Resolution Plan.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Support Monzo’s financial stress testing capabilities, running and helping to enhance and embed financial models.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Assist the team with prudential horizon scanning, identifying the impact of prudential regulatory change and supporting relevant teams to assess, interpret, and adapt to the challenges.</span></li>

<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Have prudential regulatory experience at either a bank, a consultancy or a regulatory body and want to apply it to a fast growing new bank. An accountancy qualification is desirable, but not required.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Have a good understanding and experience of working with, and analysing financial service balance sheets.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Are interested in identifying and using data, performing analysis, and understanding financial impacts on our bank.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Have a data focused mindset (SQL knowledge would be a bonus).</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">You’re comfortable translating complex information into simple words for people with diverse backgrounds.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Are able to work independently, proactively and enjoy a dynamic and changing environment.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Are keen to learn about and work on areas of the regulatory regime that you may not have previously explored, particularly in the context of a new bank.</span></li>
<li class=" leading-snug mb-2 pl-2"><span class="text-gray-200">Have experience building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels within the business.</span></li>
