Job Title: Weekend Editor & Real Estate News Reporter
Location: Dallas, TX (Remote/Flexible with Local Reporting Required)

This position is ideal for a sharp, deadline-driven writer with a passion for reporting residential and commercial real estate, the ever-evolving Dallas housing landscape, and translating complex housing issues into clear, engaging stories for our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Weekend Editor Duties:
• Edit and publish weekend content, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and engagement.
• Monitor real estate and local news for timely coverage opportunities.
• Reporter Duties:
• Write 7 stories weekly.
• Build and maintain relationships with North Texas officials, developers, and industry insiders.
• Report on policy changes affecting real estate, affordability, and development trends.
• Repurpose press releases as more detailed reports as needed.
What Were Looking For:
• Strong journalism background with experience covering news, real estate, or business.
• Ability to manage multiple stories with daily deadlines.
• Skilled writer and editor with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
• Knowledge of Dallas real estate market and city hall landscape is a plus.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small, dynamic team as a freelance writer/editor.
